Job Description:

We are a smaller outfit, that designs and manufactures the world’s best ball valves for oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, aerospace and manufacturing companies all over the globe. 

We are also the national distributor for Kinetrol actuators and accessories, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to focus on the sales of the Kinetrol product line throughout Canada.

We have big visions for the future, and we want someone who can grow within our company and be right there with us.  We will jointly plan and implement how he/she will increase Kinetrol sales, which could include new distribution, house accounts, OEM’s, Engineering specifications (EPC’s) etc.  The bulk of the job will be Outside Sales with travel 1-2 weeks per month (some locally and others provincially).

The National Sales Representative will:

• Become familiar with Gosco Valves, Kinetrol Actuators and other related products by studying training materials provided and attending Kinetrol for product training.
• Become a Kinetrol product and technical support expert
• Propose and initiate constructive ideas that grow sales
• Support all assigned distributors and customers through relationship development and by providing quotes, product material, prices lists
• Provide strategic guidance, technical support, product training, demonstrations and on-site field support to existing and potential distributors/customers
• Use PowerPoint presentations to do webinars, lunch and learns, support current distribution
• Assure you contact all sales quotation recipients promptly after a quotation submission to assure Kinetrol is being considered properly and to attain quick competitive feedback that could help us win business
• Notice and analyze competitor’s products and sales technics regularly so you can report possible Kinetrol product advantages, improvements or shortcomings
• Liaise with production to ensure orders are processed in a timely manner while communicating status of orders back to the customers
• Be willing to get the task at hand completed, even if it requires some extra time and effort
• Enter and maintain sales call reports and submit to the national sales manager (NSM) each month
• Forecast annual sales for assigned customers before end of each fiscal year and review monthly to stay focussed on goals
• Forecast travel expense for yourself submit to NSM before end of each fiscal year
• Submit expense report(s) at least once per month and group expenses by month
• Motivate people with professionalism, accountability and a positive solution focussed attitude

Outside Sales experience, especially in a relevant industry, is beneficial but not required.  Don’t be discouraged if you don’t have sales experience with actuators, as we are looking for the right attitude and personality for our team.
